VERONA, Oct 19 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Independent Petroleum Company is finishing preparation of documents to file to the U.S. Treasury against the country’s sanctions imposed on it, CEO Eduard Khudainatov told PRIME on Thursday.
In June, the department announced sanctions against Russians and North Korean citizens over their connections to development of Pyongyang’s nuclear program, including Independent Petroleum Company and its subsidiary NNK-Primornefteproduct.
“We are working on that, we’ve attracted lawyer firm Baker Botts from Washington, we are finishing the package of documents,” Khudainatov said.
“We hope that our lawyers will file to OFAC very soon. We hope that OFAC will study our documents until the end of the year.”
